1 – Bodega Martin Berdugo

This is a family winery with a long winemaking tradition located on the outskirts of Aranda de Duero and with beautiful visits to the vineyards.

It is a boutique winery, with a modern and contemporary style where details are taken care of. During the visit, in addition to learning about their wines and the entire winemaking process, you will be able to learn about the origins and history of this family and be infected by their passion and dedication.

They offer different types of visits that can be personalised, different gourmet experiences, as well as workshops at specific times of the year.

2 – Bodegas Portia

If you like architecture, you should not miss a visit to this winery.

Bodegas Portia is an innovative winery designed by the prestigious Foster & Partners architecture studio. It belongs to the Faustino group of wineries and has become one of the icons of avant-garde architecture in Ribera del Duero.

You can visit the winery and eat in its restaurant, which serves tapas or different menus.

It is located in the town of Gumiel de Izán, 15 minutes from Aranda de Duero.

 

3 – Bodegas Valsotillo

Bodegas Ismael Arroyo – Valsotillo is a family winery located in Sotillo de la Ribera, 15 minutes from Aranda de Duero. It is one of the founding wineries of the DO Ribera del Duero and is considered one of the cathedrals of wine in Ribera de Duero.

A visit to this old 16th century winery will leave you speechless with its 1,200 square metres of underground galleries carved out of the rock.

An emblematic and spectacular place with a great family atmosphere, well worth a visit if you are in the area of Aranda de Duero.

4 – Don Carlos Historical Winery

This winery is located in the historic centre of Aranda de Duero. It is a historic winery whose origins date back to the 15th century.

It is one of the 120 underground cellars that for many centuries formed part of the great underground city of 7 km. at a depth of 13 m., under the subsoil of Aranda de Duero.

Although wine is no longer made in the Bodega Don Carlos, it is one of the few historic cellars that can be visited in Aranda de Duero. In its caves lie more than 6,000 bottles of wine.

A highly recommended experience to delve into the history of Ribera del Duero.

They offer guided tours, some of which are dramatised, as well as wine tasting courses.

 

5 – Dominio de Cair Winery

A little more than 5 min. from Aranda de Duero and only 20 min. from our house La Ren Lecrés, we find this avant-garde boutique winery with high quality wines made from centenary vineyards.

There are several wine tourism experiences to choose from when visiting Bodegas Dominio de Cair. Private visits, visits to the vineyard and visits that combine their wines with gastronomy. They also offer guided tastings without visiting the facilities, both in their wine bar and outdoors among the vineyards.
