Casa Rural La Ren Lecrés, located in Vadocondes (Burgos), 10 kilometres from Aranda de Duero, has been recognised as the Best Rural House of 2021 by the Ruralka platform, which includes more than 200 rural hotels in Spain, Portugal, Mexico and Colombia.

The Ren Lecrés has attracted attention for its modern construction and decoration, where the use of local materials has prevailed, such as elm and juniper wood used for its furniture.

It also stands out for the concept of rural house that its owners have created, seeking not to remain a mere tourist accommodation for weekend use, but is open to companies or people who wish to work in a rural environment.

In fact, it is the first house that promotes the concept of coliving (spaces are shared both for working and living) in Ribera del Duero and is a member of ANYCO (National Association of Coliving and Coworking), being the first in Castilla y León to join this network.

La Ren was originally a farmyard “which later became our family home and now rural accommodation: we are a family of farmers who want to share a more modern vision of the rural world”, explains its promoter, Máxima Crespo de las Heras.

The accommodation is defined as an ideal place to enjoy the quiet life and a space for relaxation, without sacrificing comfort and contemporary style. It has six bedrooms and ample open spaces, such as a spectacular garden with a covered swimming pool and barbecue, porch and even a vegetable garden. The interior is cosy, decorated with a lot of detail and with spaces for tele-working, with high speed wi-fi.

The owners also offer a wide range of information about the area so that guests can complete their stay with a variety of experiences.
